"Imagination is more important than knowledge.
Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world."
-- Albert Einstein
Dear Students,
I am so excited to start this year with you all! We have so many amazing events planned. We will be taking a ride on
The Polar Express, visiting The Giving Tree, flying to space, learning how to become a pirate, making a mud pie, meeting Henry
and Mudge, and visiting the circus. These are just a few of the many adventures we will have when we read. This is why reading
is so fun to me, and will soon become that way for you. It can take you anywhere and teach you anything. Whatever you like,
i'm sure there is a book about out there. We will be reading all year long, gaining more knowledge about so many different
topics.
I cannot wait to share with you some of my favorite authors such as Shel Silverstein, Cynthia Rylant and Chris Van Allsburg.
Right now, I am in the middle of a book called Something Blue. It is the second part to another book that I previously read
called Something Borrowed. When you find something that you truly enjoy reading, you will see how hard it is to put the book
down.
Ask
mom and dad to read for you too! They can go on adventures with you too if you just ask them to come along.
I am so anxious to meet everyone and
I promise that this will be an unforgettable year!
Love,
Mrs. K
